Pico De Gallo

You can usually buy this wonderful garnish in the produce section of your local supermarket. But you cannot ensure its freshness. I always make my own because I find it to be so easy and flavorful.

Pico De Gallo

3 large roma tomatoes, diced

1 small (or half a large) onion, diced

1 jalapeƱo pepper, minced (remove seeds for less heat)

1 small lime, juiced

1 handful fresh cilantro, chopped

salt and pepper to taste

optional: small garlic clove, finely minced


Stir everything in a bowl.
